Procter, who was in the ECD seat since August last year, said his family needed to be back in his native Australia at this point and thanked TBWA for understanding this situation.

He was hired by Joanne Lao, managing director of TBWA Hong Kong, as a replacement for outgoing ECD Mark Ringer. He was tasked with propelling the agency forward by building on its "strong foundation" of its integration process with digital.

Procter started his career at Clemenger BBDO in Australia and went on to become ECD at GPY&R Sydney, Y&R Singapore and Ogilvy Singapore.
