Jetstar gives away getaways for selfies

From Singapore: '#FridayFreeFlights', for Jetstar by AKA Asia

Jetstar gives away getaways for selfies

Every Friday from 16 October through 13 November 13, and then the last Friday of each month until May next year, the airline is giving away instant weekend getaways to Singapore residents (and return flights to Singapore for residents of Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand). On those Fridays, consumers can enter by posting a passport selfie with the hashtag #FridayFREEFlights and a caption saying where they would rather be.

The brand wants to encourage spontaneous travel. “We wanted to prove just how easy it is to pack up and head on holiday for the weekend," according to Chantal van Wijnbergen, regional marketing manager for Southeast Asia. "Social media is the perfect platform for us—snap a selfie and then find yourself on a beach in Bali the very same day."
