Kelly will be leaving the advertising industry altogether to pursue a career in songwriting and the music industry.

He said: “I’ve had an amazing seven years with Iris, from London to seeing the growth in the office here in Singapore from day one. I’ve learnt a lot, met a lot of great people, done some great work and had a lot of fun. Now it’s time for the next adventure, let’s hope it becomes a worthwhile decision to leave a great agency. Tom’s a great creative and now a good friend and like a lot of others I will most certainly miss.”

Ormes, who was appointed joint-creative director in December 2008, will now oversee all of Iris Singapore’s creative output and lead its 12-strong creative team.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to the challenge of taking the creative reins. We’re a great agency doing exciting work and we actually really enjoy what we do. There are some big plans for 2010.”

Craig Mapleston, managing director of Iris Singapore, said: “Kelly has been a mainstay of the agency since Iris began in Singapore in 2006. He has overseen the establishment and growth of the agency and the creative product. His leadership and passion will be greatly missed.”

On moving forward, he adds: "As Iris moves into our next stage of growth, we’re confident that we’ve built the creative firepower to drive that. Tom Ormes has been responsible for leading some fantastic creative campaigns over the past year, which has seen us pick up a number of new clients who have been really impressed with our work.”
