Kumon hands creative business to Dentsu Malaysia after a three-way pitch

KUALA LUMPUR - Kumon Education is believed to have handed its creative business to Dentsu Malaysia after a three-way pitch that involved Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi.

It is understood that Dentsu has been charged to develop the brand campaign for the education centre.

The Kumon Method is a system of teaching maths that has gained wide acceptance globally. The prototype of the Kumon method was developed by chairman Toru Kumon in 1954 during his time as a high school mathematics teacher.

Kumon is now available in 46 countries and regions with 4.23 million subject enrolments (as of March 2009).  In Malaysia, there are over 38,000 children enrolled at more than 200 centres.
