A spokesperson from Oglivy said the appointment followed a pitch process, which included three other participants. Landor did not previously have a PR agency.

Commenting on the need to appoint a public relations firm, Landor’s director of strategy, Simon Bell said, "We've been our own best kept secret for a while now. But with new projects, an expanding team and desire to unleash our founder's vision in the region we've partnered with Ogilvy PR"

Ogilvy Public Relations is the sister concern of Landor, the branding arm of Y&R.

Landor’s key clients in Singapore include Havaianas, OCBC Bank and Procter & Gamble. The company has also done consulting work for Citibank, Malaysia Airlines, SBS Transit, Silk Air, Singapore Airlines, Singapore Exchange, Axiata and SingTel.
