Leo Burnett Jakarta hires Sutton

JAKARTA - Thomas Sutton (pictured), the group account director of Citibank at Publicis Singapore, has left the agency to join Leo Burnett Kreasindo in Jakarta as country advisor.

Leo Burnett Jakarta hires Sutton

Steve Bonnell, technical advisor at Leo Burnett Kreasindo, said: “Basically the job is to lead the account management and the client management with a particular focus on our latest win Telkomsel.”

Bonnell said Sutton was “a strong strategic guy in terms of ability to lead senior clients. He also has a strong creative orientation. That’s why we believe he will be an asset.”

In May Leo Burnett won the creative account of Telkomsel, Indonesia's largest telco, after a final three-way pitch. Telkomsel has handed its media to MEC.

Prior to joining Publicis, Sutton was a group account director with JWT Singapore where he spent three years and worked on brands such as HSBC, Nestlé and Samsung. He has 13 years of experience in advertising.

A Publicis spokeswoman said that the agency is currently in the process of appointing a regional business director for Citibank. The new person is likely to join by the end of this month.
