As reported this week, Richard Yu, executive creative director of Bates Taiwan for nearly six years, has confirmed that he has resigned and will be leaving the agency on 29 February. He will join ADK Taiwan as its chief creative officer and creative consultant of ADK China Network on 5 March.

A creative veteran in Taiwan, Chian (pictured) joined Leo Burnett Taiwan a year ago. Before that he was group creative director and head of art at Ogilvy & Mather Taipei. He also worked for BBDO Taiwan from 2003-2008 as executive creative director, as well as at Batey Advertising and JWT.

Over his decade-long advertising career, Chian has worked on award winning campaigns for clients like Fedex, Mercedes-Benz, ESPN, Ericsson, and Chrysler.

Reported last October, Leo Burnett Taiwan has rehired Dino Jalandoni to lead the creative direction for brands including McDonald’s and Heineken. This is Jalandoni’s second stint at LB. He was the agency’s creative head in Manila between 1997 and 2007, working on accounts that included McDonald’s and Procter & Gamble.

Leo Burnett Taiwan is also currently looking to fill the vacant role of general manager. Margaret Huang, the agency's managing director said that the general manager's role is a big one. "We need someone with the open-minded and a gracious character to grow business and staff talents," she said.
