ASIA-PACIFIC - Lewis PR has announced three appointments to serve regional clients: Annie Ho, formerly with iPR Ogilvy, has joined in Hong Kong as account director, and in Singapore, Kim Danker and Gina Daryanani have joined as account managers.

“We just finished the first half of our financial year, and it’s been a very strong first half for the region, so we’re really investing in our people to support our growth, and I think we’ve found the best people we can,” Andy Oliver, senior vice-president for Asia-Pacific, told Campaign.

Lewis has racked up recent regional wins including Compuware, F5 Networks, and Sierra Solutions, as well as Oracle in Australia. And given growth of 25 per cent over the last year, these hires likely signal further expansion, Oliver said.

“Our approach is to continue that growth by organic and potentially by inorganic means as well,” he said. “I’m on the lookout for a potential acquisition in Asia, particularly North Asia and greater China.”

Ho has more than 10 years of PR and marketing experience in both regional and international roles, having worked with clients including Cisco, NCR, Smartone, and Sharp, as well as a range of non-profit and government agencies.

Danker, who joins from Edelman, helped launch the Marina Bay Sands and has worked with Microsoft, Shell, HP, Motorola Solutions. Daryanani joins from Weber Shandwick, where she worked in the technology practice servicing clients such as Microsoft, SAS Institute, and Honeywell.

Oliver cited focus on digital communications as a strength that is helping to drive the firm’s recent success. “That’s what clients are looking for and that’s what is driving some of our growth,” he said. “We’re not one of the monolith agencies, and so we do quite well at being fast and responsive in this digital age.”
