SINGAPORE - LG Electronics has named Choi Bo-Hwan (pictured) as vice president and head of mobile communications marketing for Asia.

LG appoints marketing head for mobile
Choi was previously the head of LG Mobile Communications’ Asia and MEA (Middle East and Africa) operations, driving key market penetration and growth activities in these markets.

The latest regional appointment has Choi overseeing the pan-Asian sales and marketing portfolio of the Korean firm’s mobile business.

In addition, he is also charged with an additional portfolio as LG Mobile Communications’ Asia business leader with direct P&L, strategic and operational responsibilities across the region.

Based in Singapore, he said: “With fast growing adoption and usage rates, Asia is perhaps the most important market in the mobile communications industry today. I am glad to be able to play a part in LG’s continued commitment towards growth, product diversity, and market development in our key markets across Asia.”
