Mediabrands appoints regional master data steward

SINGAPORE – Mediabrands has appointed Aloun Liu who will play a key role in the aggregation of information across the company.

Aloun Liu will be based in Singapore and is tasked to maintain and improve Mediabrands’ data collection and analysis throughout the region.

He will be part of Mediabrands Asia-Pacific CIO Dene Schonknecht's organisation.

Dene Schonknecht said, “Marketing, data and technology are closely intertwined. Mediabrands is positioning itself to offer innovative solutions to its clients at UM, Initiative and Mediabrands Ventures by aggressively investing in technology and high calibre people, such as Aloun, into the team.”

Liu brings over eight years of data management, development and analytics experience and has managed multiple database platforms for large international companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and FTI Consulting, across the financial, consulting and higher education sectors.

On his appointment, Liu said, "Joining the Mediabrands team is an exciting opportunity. Mediabrands has differentiated itself by investing aggressively in technology to provide industry leading solutions for our clients. I especially look forward to working with action-oriented and very talented colleagues. Dene and his team are re-inventing the business of modern day media and marketing."
