MediaCom appoints head of South, Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE – MediaCom has announced the appointment of Divya Gururaj as head of Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Gururaj, currently managing director of MediaCom India, joins the Singapore-based regional team in June.

Reporting to Asia-Pacific CEO Alex Crowther, Gururaj will be helping markets drive growth with business planning, new business, investment plans and day-to-day operations.

Crowther said that Gururaj is already working on projects in Southeast Asia as part of this new responsibility. “Southeast Asia remains a major priority for us, bringing such a strong leader in to support me with this region is a sign of our commitment to the people and clients in these markets.”

Prior to becoming MD of MediaCom India, Gururaj had a long stint at MindShare where she was general manager Mumbai. Before that she was with JWT, having started her career client-side with Blowplast.
