Currently in its sixth year, Music Matters will be held for the first time in Singapore, signaling a new look, new location and new expanded programme.

The programme kicks off with 'Japan Matters' featuring Guiness World record holder Yuto Miyazawa, holding the record for the 'Youngest professional guitar player'. The 11 year-old prodigy has toured the US with Ozzy Osbourne, appeared on many popular American and Japanese TV programmes and his videos has drawn millions to YouTube.

Shortly after Beats Electronics president and COO Luke Wood takes the stage for the opening keynote interview. Beats was co-founded by legendary producer Dr. Dre and Jimmy Lovine.

The conference touches on social media just before lunch with experts from around the region taking a look at how artists can best communicate and market directly to fans and consumers.

Grammy Award-winning artist Imogen Heap takes the stage in the second keynote interview of the day for an intimate performance and Q&A session. The multi-platinum singer, songwriter, composer and social media pioneer will discuss her views on new technology and communicating directly to her loyal fan base.

Just before the day wraps up with the HP opening party, delegates can hear all about Indonesia's exciting music scene in an 'Emerging Asia: Indonesia' session. The country is one of SEA's music industry bright spots with numerous major artist tours, festivals and a vibrant mobile and telecommunications market.

Indonesian artist Sandhy Sondoro ends the day with a performance and interview about his fascinating career as an unique Asian artist experiencing success both at home and abroad.

The inaugural Digital Matters industry forum took place earlier this week with Music Matters LIVE with HP, a live music festival showcasing Asian and international bands and artists, rounding up Branded's trio of events from 24 to 28 May in Singapore.
