National Geographic on BlackBerry in Hong Kong and Australia

HONG KONG - National Geographic is offering their content to go with a Nat Geo Application for BlackBerry in Hong Kong and Australia.

The Nat Geo App offers rich media content and programmes from the channel's archive. Apart from documentaries, photos and videos, users can also download wallpapers and ringtones to suit their own BlackBerry phones.

The service is offered through telecoms provider PCCW in Hong Kong and BlackBerry App World in Australia.

“The sophisticated National Geographic Application caters to National Geographic subscribers who tell us they are increasingly using their BlackBerry smartphones to keep them entertained and informed while they are on the go. Similarly, we are looking forward to winning new fans for the channel among BlackBerry subscribers,” said Ward Platt, president of Asia-Pacific and Middle East at National Geographic.

The application is developed is partnership with wireless device company Research In Motion.
