Nike launches app with GPS system for running fanatics

The ‘Nike+ GPS’ app is built with an accelerometer and GPS system to help users track their exercise rountine and stay in shape. The app tracks pace, distance and running routes complete with an audio feedback system so runners don't have to look down at a screen. A playback function also helps runners keep track previous efforts.

The app allows users to upload their information to Nikeplus.com in order to share training tips and personal advancements with friends and the rest of the Nike+ community.

For those looking to beat their personal best, the ‘Challenge me’ feature helps runners compete against previous running records.
