Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific and Bates CHI&Partners will host this year's ADC Portfolio Night 13 in Greater China and Singapore, respectively, on 20 May.

Ogilvy, Bates to host Portfolio Night on 20 May

ADC Portfolio Night gives aspiring advertising copywriters, art directors and designers the opportunity to meet with renowned creative directors.

Ogilvy will organise the event in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai, while Bates will host the Singapore event. Campaign Asia-Pacific is the Asia-Pacific media partner for the event. Portfolio Night takes place on the same evening in more than 20 cities around the world

At each event, local creatives will present their portfolio and receive constructive feedback from leading professionals from not only the host agencies but also other agencies in the city. The candidate with the best work in each city will be named a Portfolio Night All-Star and invited to travel to New York City to collaborate with other All-Stars from around the world on a global brand brief.

Details on tickets will be announced in early April.

This will be the sixth time Ogilvy China has hosted the event in seven years. “As an agency, we are committed to playing a leading role in helping to mentor and inspire the next generation of talent entering our industry," said Graham Fink, chief creative officer of Ogilvy & Mather China. "It’s important to remember that China is still a relatively young market, so it’s encouraging to see the standard of portfolios get better each year. I’m very excited to see what’s in store for 2015.”

This will be the first time in five years that the event has taken place in Hong Kong. “It is exciting to have Portfolio Night back in Hong Kong and for Ogilvy to be playing host," said Reed Collins, chief creative officer of Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong. "This event gives a unique opportunity for young creatives to showcase their work, receive practical advice about their portfolio and to make new contacts as they look to start their career.”

After last year’s sold out event, this will be the second time Bates has hosted Portfolio Night in Singapore. “Portfolio Night has helped many young creatives land their first role in advertising," said Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar, executive creative director at Bates CHI&Partners Singapore. "It promises to be a very exciting event and I know the creative directors due to attend are looking forward to meeting the new wave of advertising talent, reviewing their pieces and discussing their concepts.”
