Ogilvy & Mather Australia handed extra Coke duties

SYDNEY - Ogilvy & Mather Australia has acquired two more Coca-Cola accounts, sports drink brand POWERade and bottled water brand Mount Franklin, for the Australia and New Zealand market.

Ogilvy & Mather Australia handed extra Coke duties
Publicis Moja was the incumbent agency of both accounts, working on them for more than three years.

“We were given the two new accounts in late December without a pitch, due to our relationship [with the client] and the quality of our work,” said Robbie Moore, executive director of Ogilvy & Mather Sydney.

Ogilvy & Mather Australia’s other Coca-Cola accounts include Coke Red, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta and Sprite, plus Nestlé Iced Tea and Goulburn Valley.

POWERade's primary competitor is Gatorade, owned by PepsiCo, whereas Mount Franklin is the number one bottled water brand in Australia.

Naked Communications has handled media planning and strategy for more than four years, while Icon has handled the media buying for one-and-a-half years.

The first campaign for these two brands will roll out in first quarter this year.
