OMD has appointed Rochelle Chhaya as APAC COO and Pankaj Nayak as regional CMO, effective immediately.

Both join the agency from APAC regional positions at Omnicom Media Group. Chhaya was previously chief digital officer and Nayak business development director.

Chhaya brings significant experience in digital and managing client-agency relationships. She will oversee OMD’s operations and investment strategy as the agency develops its offering.

Stephen Li, CEO of OMD APAC, said Chhaya is “a well-respected voice in the industry”, and that “there is no one with as strong a 360 overview of our business as her, which will be extremely valuable in developing OMD’s agency model for the future”.

Nayak has more than 20 years of experience, and will drive the agency’s client engagement, both with existing and new business. Li said Nayak “is perfectly suited for the CMO role" and that "OMD will continue to elevate its new business momentum under his leadership”.

Campaign has sought comment on whether OMG plans to hire replacements in the group-level chief digital office and business development director roles.
