Chu left Carat Hong Kong in September 2008 and took on the role of MD at MEC's Colgate China media division in Guangzhou for two years.

Sufen Liu, previously leader of Mindshare Guangzhou, is now MD of Colgate China Media, a MEC division based in Guangzhou dedicated to Colgate-Palmolive and Hawley & Hazel in China.

Chu replaces Will Swayne, who joined Carat's North America office in January, and will report to Aegis Hong Kong CEO, Chris Ryan (pictured).

“We are delighted to have Pauline back. We chose her because of her exceptional client relationships record, her leadership in strategic business planning, and her high standard of service,” said Ryan who joined Aegis Media Hong Kong last November. “Pauline has what it takes to continue the growth of the locally-led business, the depth in experience required to maintain our digital leadership in media, and the enthusiasm to collaborate with our sister agencies to offer the full services that many of our clients need in Hong Kong and abroad.”

Carat was recently awarded Media’s Agency Network of the Year and has enjoyed a succession of new business wins over the last year, topping the new business league table most months.
