The agency group will be responsible for the media planning and buying business of the brand along with the creative services, which was previously handled by a local agency.

HVMO was handed the account as a whole based on the agency’s capabilities in both media and creative, said Tony Sarmiento III, chief collaborator at HVMO.

Celina I. Matias, brand and marketing manager of Phoenix Petroleum, said the brand puts a high value on relationship and integrity. “We are fully confident that the agency’s mix of decorated, seasoned veterans and their passion for creating great work will make for a long-lasting, fruitful partnership,” she added.

Phoenix Petroleum was the 84th largest corporation in the country based on revenue in 2012 and has expanded its network of stations from 32 in 2007 to 250 this year. The company recently completed the acquisition of Subic Petroleum Trading and Transport Philippines.

For 2013, Phoenix expects to expand its retail network with more of its mega-stations offering convenience stores, auto services and money transfer.
