Record entries predict a competitive Spikes Asia 2011

SINGAPORE - This year's Spikes Asia festival is set to be the most competitive yet, with a record 3600 entries counted so far across the 14 categories.

That represents a 20 per cent increase on the number of submissions that competed for the 2010 awards. Administrators are still processing the last entries, after the deadline was extended until August 12. The final number of entries submitted will be announced in the next week.

Whatever the final number, they will be judged by 55 regional and international creative leaders, working across the Print, Outdoor, Digital, Direct, Promo and activation, Media, Design, Radio, Film, Print and Poster craft, Film craft, and the new PR and Mobile categories.

Delegate numbers are similarly impressive - with 1000 attendees currently signed up.

“A record number of entries, around 1,000 delegates already registered to attend - with more registering daily – and an excellent content programme, Spikes Asia 2011 is shaping up to be a great event,” Terry Savage, festival chairman said.

“Asia Pacific is a fantastically-creative region producing some outstanding work. We are being challenged and the opportunity to challenge each other, irrespective of what sector you work in - creative agency, media agency or client side - is of utmost importance. Spikes will be the place where this all comes together."

Spikes Asia 2011 takes place at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 18 to 20 September. For more information or to register, visit http://www.spikes.asia.
