Richard Copping's appointment is effective immediately. He is based in Singapore.

He will report to Eugene Cheong, regional executive creative director at Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific. He was previously head of art at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Commenting on his appointment, Cheong said, "Richie's arrival completes the creative rejuvenation of Ogilvy Singapore. He's the creative equivalent of a warhorse: a leader endowed with patience and passion, and who possesses the necessary horsepower to do the heavy lifting on big brands and win glittery trophies at derbies around the world."

Copping will re-establish his partnership with old friend and colleague Juggi Ramakrishnan, deputy regional ECD at Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific. His remit is to focus on new business and elevate the creative offering of the agency in the region.
