Richard Fraser named president, BBDO Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE - BBDO has appointed Richard Fraser to the role of president, Southeast Asia, effective 1 May.

He will report to Jean-Paul Burge, chairman and CEO of BBDO Asia, taking on the post in addition to his current role as Proximity Worldwide’s regional managing director for Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Based in Singapore, the position will see him will extend his responsibilities across the six BBDO offices in Southeast Asia

Burge described Fraser as “a proven global marketer with more than 20 years’ experience”, working with leading brands in the United States, New Zealand, Canada and more than 20 markets throughout Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

“We have worked together for the last eight years and he has been deeply involved in all aspects of our business, both at BBDO and Proximity,” he said. “Richard [Fraser] will give our agencies in the region added support to help drive the creative product and growth.”

Fraser has been part of the Proximity global Network for 12 years and is a member of the Proximity Worldwide Executive Committee.

Fraser called the appointment “a fantastic opportunity” to deepen his relationship with the teams in the region and parlay the digital experience gained in the Proximity network. “I cannot wait to dive into this.”
