Singapore Media Awards winners, MEC crowned agency of the year

SINGAPORE – MEC Singapore has been crowned media agency of the year at the Singapore Media Awards 2012.

The Grand Prix prize went to OMD Singapore for its “I need a snooze’ campaign for Ikano.

MEC Singapore swipes the agency of the year title from Mindshare Singapore, which has held the crown since 2010.

“Winning agency of the year at the SMA is testament to the quality of the work that we produce , Sharon Soh, managing director of MEC Singapore, said.

“The categories that we have won in is also a reflection of our capabilities in digital and content planning, our continual strive to be at the forefront of the communication evolution and to be a future-facing business partner to our clients,” she added.

Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore (4As), the Singapore Media Awards (SMA) recognises innovative media practices and strategies that contribute to an effective advertising campaign.

It celebrates the achievements and contributions of Singapore’s media talents, as well as reinforcing the importance of media in the success of a well-executed advertising campaign.
