Mobile advertising platform Smaato today announced that Freddy Friedman has joined as global group chief product officer.

With more than 15 years’ industry experience across digital and mobile, Friedman arrives from Glispa, where he was most recently chief product officer based in Berlin. Before that, Friedman was senior product director at Amobee, and he has also held senior positions at Mobixell and Pelephone.

“I look forward to broadening and evolving Smaato’s capabilities and bringing new products and services to market,” Friedman said.

Friedman will lead Smaato’s mobile advertising and product development strategy, and advise on app development, big data and digital media.

Ragnar Kruse, Smaato CEO and co-founder, said Friedman’s “analytical thinking, customer focus and proven track record of mentoring and driving product teams” fits with the company’s global expansion aims.
