In second place was Park Jiseong from Korea, Nelson Tsui from Hong Kong and Chen Jia from China.

Spikes Academy, in corporation with Cheil Worldwide, offers an exclusive learning opportunity to a select group of 15 students from the region. Students were given a brief to create a campaign for Samsung for any 2D content to be watched in 3D, in just two days.

Campaign Asia-Pacific caught up with some of the Spikes' Academy students to see what they thought of the experience.

Alvaro Bruch from Taiwan said, "It's been very tiring but worth it, I'm so tired that I can't see straight now. A lot of CEOs and agency heads have come to speak to us, they've given us some amazing ideas. The CEO OF Omnicom Tim Love was great, his knowledge is incredible."

Charmaine Ang from Singapore added, "It's been a great learning experience. I wouldn't get access to this level of speakers and resources at university. It's always challenging working with and learning from people from other countries."

Guided by their own tutor, Noor Azhar Mohamed, lecturer in Creative Media Design at Singapore Polytechnic, the students benefited from the various festival activities, which included seminars, screenings, exhibitions and workshops. To enhance their learning experience, the students also enjoyed their own masterclasses and tutorials given by top international industry figures. The Academy's activities culminated in a graduation ceremony.

Mohamed said, "Students have shown very high standards. They still need to learn to streamline the terms and words they use in advertising, but overall even though they were only given two days to crack this brief we 'll be able to see the level of creative talent that they have."
