Zachary Lim to helm IPG Mediabrands Singapore after Wavemaker stint

Zachary Lim has been appointed head of IPG Mediabrands Singapore shortly after his exit from Wavemaker. The appointment is effective immediately and will see Lim reporting to Leigh Terry, CEO of IPG Mediabrands APAC. Lim will be be based in the IPG Mediabrands APAC regional headquarters in Singapore.

A media industry veteran with over two decades of experience, including previous stints at Maxus Global, Havas Media, and Mediacorp, Lim left Wavemaker as MD of Singapore. His mandate at IPG Mediabrands is a networkwide role including the leadership of agencies UM and Initiative. 

His appointment comes after the departure of James Smyllie, Initiative’s president for APAC last year as well as the exit of Kasper Aakerlund as president UM APAC, and the appointment of former PHD APAC CEO James Hawkins as chief client officer at IPG Mediabrands.  

In his role at IPG Mediabrands, Lim will leverage his experience in integrated marketing, media strategy, business development and agency leadership.
