SINGAPORE - Sri Lanka's largest locally-owned advertising agency, Triad, has launched a full service virtual arm in Singapore in a bid to serve its global clientele.

According to a statement, Triadhot.com will offer creative solutions with strategic worldwide client focus, and will act as an online platform providing cost-effective solutions.

The virtual set-up also promises convenience in creating creative solutions and customised professional services for all clients regardless of the continent or time zones they are in.

The online platform's back-end work is being performed in locations with low operating costs and overheads, such as Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan.

Sarva Ameresekere, COO of Triad, said his agency has adopted an innovative format of establishing a fully-fledged agency on a virtual platform, by transcending the conventional operating models of multinational corporations which set up offshore brick-and-mortar offices.

“Singapore was chosen for the launch since we believe this to be the business hub of this region. Therefore launching there will garner us greater opportunities,” he added.

Dilith Jayaweera, joint MD of triadhot.com, said: “We have skipped a level in the evolution cycle of a typically multinational agency and have ventured beyond to create a fully fledged virtual agency, offering all that a full service agency would, but on a cutting-edge and low cost virtual format, which also supports the world’s thinking on a ‘green environment’.”
