Starcom Taiwan lands Prudential Life Assurance, Asia-Pacific Telecom and Yuen Foong Yu

TAIPEI - Prudential Life Assurance (PCA) has awarded its media buying and planning business to Starcom Taiwan.

The three-way pitch involved Carat and Mindshare. Starcom is also the agency-of-record for PCA’s direct response business.

Meanwhile, Starcom has also landed Asia-Pacific Telecom and Yuen Foong Yu, a paper manufacturer in Taiwan. The three accounts in total are believed to worth over US$10 million. Starcom will be responsible for the digital media for all three brands.

Asia-Pacific Telelcom shortlisted Initiative Media, Dentsu Palette, MEC and incumbent agency Carat. The pitch for Yuen Foong Yu involved Dentsu Platte, ZenithOptimedia and Aegis Group.

Managing director of Starcom Taiwan, Scarlett Shih, added that the agency would provide stronger ROI offerings to help these three businesses gain local market share in Taiwan.
