The VOD content would be rolled out in the coming months to augment StarHub’s content leadership position in the Singapore pay-TV market.

StarHub becomes the first pay-TV operator in Singapore to offer Hollywood movies from Paramount on a transactional VOD platform.

The deal with Comcast International Media Group (CIMG) will offer TV specials from E! such as Sexiest Season 2 and 25 Most Memorable Swimsuit Moments.

A new Hot & Haunted category of content rated “16” or “18” will be added to on 15 January featuring movies and series covering horror, gore, sex and violence. Some titles will also be made available on StarHub TV Online.

StarHub has also teamed up with three leading content providers in Asia to offer popular TVB classic dramas, titles from Celestial Movies and MD Entertainment’s Sinetron.
