The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, underpins Foolproof’s growth ambitions in Asia and establishes an operational hub for the region. One to One Global will be renamed Foolproof (sg) Pte Ltd.

The newly acquired agency will continue to be led by Evelyn Lee, who has been helming the agency for the past eight years. Lee will remain director of the business, heading the Singapore office, and will report to Leslie Fountain, MD of Foolproof.

Prior to the acquisition, Foolproof had been working with clients across Asia including HSBC and Lloyds TSB. "Having a local office will enable us to grow our client base in Singapore," said a spokeswoman for Foolproof.

"Businesses are increasingly turning to user experience as a means of gaining competitive advantage," commented Peter Ballard, co-founder of Foolproof. "By adding a local team in Asia, Foolproof acquires valuable knowledge, experience and an appreciation for regional nuances, all of which are essential for optimising user experiences in local markets.”

"Foolproof shares our philosophy and values, including the paramount importance of involving customers throughout the digital design process," said Lee. "Becoming part of Foolproof means we’re now well placed to grow the business significantly, both in Singapore and across the rest of Asia.”
