VCCP launches in Asia

Communications agency sets up shop in Singapore.

UK integrated communications agency VCCP has opened its doors in Singapore, marking the firm’s first foray into Asia.

Craig Mapleston has joined the agency as APAC regional director. With more than 20 years’ experience, Mapleston arrived from Iris Singapore, where a spent a decade in roles including managing director and APAC chief growth officer.

Mapleston will seek to build VCCP’s Asia presence, and make Singapore the regional headquarters for creative and strategic communications work. From launch, the office will be the regional hub for global client Shell. “I’m ready to introduce VCCP’s renowned challenger agency for challenger brands approach to the Asia market,” he said.

VCCP’s client roster also includes Mondelez International, O2 and Domino’s Pizza.

Adrian Coleman, VCCP group CEO, said: “Singapore holds a wealth of possibilities to challenge the marketing landscape and we’ve proven success at simplifying complex problems with creative ideas and executions that cut through the noise. Craig is the perfect person to be heading up our office and driving our strategic approach.”

Founded in 2002, VCCP also has offices in London, Berlin, New York, Madrid, Prague, San Francisco and Sydney.
