VLT has named Andrew Tan, former innovation lead at conglomerate YTL, as director of innovation. Reporting directly to CEO Warren Tan, he is tasked with championing a soon-to-be-announced long-term VLT innovation initiative and innovation thought leadership in the agency and beyond.

He will continue to spearhead Social Innovation Camp Asia, which he founded in the region, as Asia partner. Social Innovation Camp is a global initiative that brings together software developers and designers with people who understand a social problem to build web and mobile solutions.

VLT also promoted Izwan Ismail as UX practice lead. He was previously lead UX designer at CodeAr.my, and co-founded ThatApp, a sex education mobile app startup targeted at teenagers.

Reporting to both Andrew and Warren Tan, he will lead the development of UX thinking within the agency to push boundaries and increase the effectiveness of VLT's digital work. He will also continue to champion UX Malaysia, a community of user experience designers and practitioners he founded last year.

Integricity Interactive was rebranded as VLT recently, becoming an independent, full-service digital agency.
