WWF Earth Hour wants you to tweet to change the world

From Singapore: ‘Tweet your leader’ for WWF’s Earth Hour by Mobext Singapore

WWF Earth Hour wants you to tweet to change the world

The big cheeses of the world will be congregating in Paris for the 21st Conference of the Parties or COP21, to talk climate change come 7 December.

In a bid expand the conversation beyond hallowed conference halls; WWF’s Earth Hour unit, through Mobext Singapore, has launched a campaign to get people talking about the issue by tweeting messages of support to their respective country heads.

There’s even a handy microsite for the interested to participate in five clicks flat (or eight if you’d like to upload a photo). Yes, Ad Nut counted.

Ad Nut is ever the cynic, so the jury is still out on whether masses of people tweeting to their leaders that something must be done about climate change will be effective. After all, much has been said about armchair advocates.

But Ad Nut likes that it’s a Singapore agency handling this global campaign around an important global issue, so Ad Nut will hold onto a little glimmer of hope.

At the very least, it will demonstrate to the corridors of power that the everyday individual does indeed care about the earth we all stand on—so they ought to get a move on.
