Meanwhile, Yvonne Chang, who currently holds the post Mandel will fill, takes on a new role as head of Southeast Asia based in Singapore.

Both Chang and Mandel will report directly to Yahoo’s APAC region senior VP Rose Tsou.

On the marketing side, Jeff Han has been promoted from acting senior director of marketing to VP of marketing for APAC and will report to Yahoo CMO Elisa Steele.

Commenting on the restructure, Tsou said: “Yvonne’s sales background, taking Yahoo to leadership positions in the more mature Asia internet markets, will be a great asset as we ramp up efforts in the emerging markets of Southeast Asia. I’m also thrilled to leverage Ken’s digital advertising and agency experience to drive online share shift across the region. Finally, Jeff has done a phenomenal job unlocking the potential of the Yahoo brand in Asia and I congratulate him.”
