Ng, who has 16 years of experience in the business,  told Campaign Asia-Pacific that he will be working closely with Stephen Farquhar, MD director for Zenith China, and Mathias Chaillon, MD of Optimedia China, while reporting directly to Mykim Chikli, COO of ZenithOptimedia.

In the past seven years Ng worked in China with OMD and Starcom. Prior to that he spent five years with ZenithOptimedia Singapore. He has worked across several categories including technology, alcohol, auto, FMCG, QSR and B2B.

Steven Chang, the agency’s Greater China CEO, told Campaign Asia-Pacific that Ng’s appointment, together with Ivy Ho’s GM appointment last month, is to enhance the second-tier management team.

Ng commented: "It's a good feeling to be back with the agency that made me who I am as a media professional."

Meanwhile, Shih (pictured below) is now heading up the Starcom Beijing office as MD. She has been with SMG for the past eight years, with six of these leading its Taiwan operation.

With more than 20 years of experience in the media business, Shih started at SMG as a deputy general manager on the P&G business and when she took over as MD, she led the Taiwan team to win numerous new businesses, including P&G, Samsung, Coca Cola, Richemont, Diageo, Yahoo and Mead Johnson.
