Getting comfortable in your own skin condition

Goodstuph's film for Dove Singapore urges those with chronic skin conditions to 'make peace with their skin'

In Goodstuph's first brand film for Unilever, since being awarded creative duties for various personal care and household brands late last year, it has joined with Dove Singapore to highlight the plight of women living with chronic skin conditions.

In the film 'When is the last time you fought?", four women discuss candidly the issues they face living with eczema.  We learn through the film that many of these challenges are emotional rather than physical and hence the film largely focuses on the women themselves telling their stories, rather than focusing in on excessive close-up shots of rough skin patches.

The one-minute film is for Dove DermaSeries, which relieves dry skin and eczema.  But as Shermaine Chen, marketing manager at Unilever Singapore, notes, "we understand that making peace with chronic skin conditions goes beyond the physical. There is a lot of emotion behind years of struggle that takes strength to come to terms with. We hope that through the stories that Germaine, Beatrice, Rachel and Zoe have graciously shared, Dove can inspire more skin sufferers to make peace with their skin.”
