Ad Nut

Here's this year's (yawn) lamb ad

The Monkeys' annual ad for Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is a safe take on a famous privacy scandal.

Here's this year's lamb ad, from the Monkeys for Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA). It shows us a shadow organisation called Lambalytica, which massively violates privacy in order to encourage consumption of crocodile steaks.

Ad Nut kids. It's about lamb. It's serviceable, Ad Nut supposes, although it's also clear the creators have chosen to avoid controversies like they've courted in the past. They've even decided not to affiliate the ad explicitly with the problematic Australia Day holiday. That choice is probably the best part of this year's effort.

Ad Nut is a surprisingly literate woodland creature that for unknown reasons has an unhealthy obsession with advertising. Ad Nut gathers ads from all over Asia and the world for your viewing pleasure, because Ad Nut loves you. You can also check out Ad Nut's Advertising Hall of Fame, or read about Ad Nut's strange obsession with 'murderous beasts'.
