TFW someone you love suddenly changes

Thailand's Kasikornbank dramatises the beefing up of its mobile-banking app.

The video above is how Thailand's Kasikornbank announces an update of its mobile banking app, K Plus, which has 9 million users. The film, by GreyNJ United, does a good job of mirroring the trepidation one feels when a familiar and much-used piece of software changes without warning, although Ad Nut isn't entirely comfortable with equating a significant other to an app.

In this case, the disconcerted user realizes, after some sarcastic cajoling ("Still using Windows 95?") that the new version is stronger and more helpful than the old, which leads to tears of joy (but not really).

The video comes from the same client-agency team that made the mucho-award-winning Friendshit, which continues to kill (in the sense of getting loud laughs) whenever it's screened to people who haven't seen it before (such as at the recent Spikes Asia Awards, where it won two Grand Prix awards). This new video, called 'Face/off' isn't as funny, but it has a charming weirdness—and nearly 6 million views since last Wednesday on Facebook.
