There's a reason this boy astronaut wants to escape his world

Beautiful film from US makes a strong point about heroes.

Ad Nut most often sticks to showing you work from Asia, but always reserves the right to highlight exceptional work from anywhere, and this film by Sweet Shop director Noah Conopask certainly qualifies. Simple. Expertly made. Powerful.

Made for the US National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), the film is rooted, according to the director, in scientific research showing that kids who witness abuse can suffer permanent personality changes, even if they're not abused themselves.

“The boy is me," Conopask said in a release. "I had to make it. Children look up to their parents. Even if they don't want to. I hope that I can inspire action in those who may be broken or hurt and are acting in this way. I hope I can stir them to look at themselves and recognize what it is doing to their child, their family and themselves.”

Well said.

Now please excuse Ad Nut while Ad Nut tracks down the offspring of Ad Nut and bestows some serious hugs.
