Yakult campaign offers health as the best birthday wish

HONG KONG - Yoghurt-drink brand Yakult is bringing its audience '100 bottles of healthy wishes' in its annual TVC.

wide player in 16:9 format. Used on article page for Campaign.

Each year, Dentsu Hong Kong creates a memorable campaign for its long-term client Yakult. This year, the 30-second spot features a cute little girl who, at the advice of her father, puts her birthday wish in a Yakult bottle each year. The dad gets a surprise when the girl wishes for a baby brother.

The intended message is that health is the best birthday wish for loved ones, as Yakult  is a good thing to give to people one cares about.

Albert Wong, ECD of Dentsu Hong Kong, told Campaign Asia-Pacific that the brand will also run a second TVC, for its Yakult Light product, starting in early June.

Wong explained that Yakult's original red bottle is more family-oriented, while Yakult Light, which was launched in Hong Kong market more than two years ago, has high levels of fibre and a more sophisticated brand positioning, "in order not to compete with Yakult's oringial red bottle, we have created a very different look and feel for the two TVCs," Wong said.
