Agricultural Bank of China, one of the top five national banks, called for a pitch in July 2013, which OpenTide won in mid-August. The incumbent was Catch Stone Advertising.

OpenTide's scope of work will be creative, digital media buying, ad monitoring, and online PR.

The Cheil-owned agency has had previous experience in digital marketing for local banks, such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) for one year and Hua Xia Bank for two years.
