Bullock replaces Chad Tendler, who left last December, and will be responsible for the corporate communications of all Dow Jones brands, including Factiva, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's and SmartMoney in Asia-Pacific.

He is tasked with creating, managing and executing public relations programmes and media relations for the region and will work with local business unit heads on the commercial and editorial side of Dow Jones.

Given Bullock's strong background in digital and social media, it is understood he will be supporting Dow Jones' editorial teams in these areas.

Bullock was most recently head of communications at WWF Hong Kong where he helped build the charity's communications team and spearheaded the marketing for its annual event, Earth Hour 2013. WWF is currently looking for his replacement.

Before joining WWF last September, Bullock was with Cathay Pacific for nearly five years and was instrumental in establishing the airline's social media presence.

Bullock will be speaking at PR360Asia on June 27 at the Harbour Grand Hotel, Hong Kong.
