Airbnb's country pub project wins the grand prix, with work from India, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia also feted.

APAC work wins half of Warc's 2020 purpose awards

An Airbnb project that highlighted the charm of countryside pubs has won the grand prix in the 2020 WARC Awards for effective use of brand purpose.

Overall, work from APAC won half of the total of 16 awards—the grand prix, one out of four golds, two out of six silvers, and four out of five bronze awards—with work from India taking two awards and Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia also earning metal.

The APAC agencies celebrating wins are FCB India (which also won one of the three special awards given in additional to the metal and noted below), BBDO Japan, DEC PR, Forsman & Bodenfors Singapore, Ogilvy Malaysia, McCann Worldgroup India and Leo Burnett Malaysia.
