MANILA - Bates 141 Philippines has beefed up its creative, planning and activation teams with a slew of appointments.

Leading the team of nine hires are Angel Antonio, an ex-Ogilvy Action staffer, who has joined the agency as general manager, and Joey Ong, who joins the agency as creative director. Antonio will be working closely with co-GM Cats Guerrero while Ong will work with creative director Tom Trinidad and report to Guerrero.

The appointments follow the promotion of group account director Dean Dee, who has been named strategic planning director.

Other additions to the Bates 141 team include: client service managers Denise Haak and Monchit Magno; art director Dan Pambid; writers Macky Mina and Sara Badr; Chai Suico, senior logistics planner; and Mags Martin, logistics planner.
