Ng’s appointment follows the departure of Nicola Tiong last week. He brings 19 years experience in the industry. Ng joined Bates in 2005 and under his leadership, its activation unit expanded its offering to include public relations and B2B marketing. He will continue to report to Wong Fatt Weng, managing director of Bates141 Malaysia, who said: “He is well poised to lead the advertising mainstream given his broad experience in through-the-line strategic account management, planning and insights.”
