BBDO Guerrero wins Yatai International

MANILA - Yatai International Corporation has selected BBDO Guerrero/Proximity to develop its communication strategy and above-the-line advertising as well as a retail strategy for its in-store communications and implementation.

Harris: "Up to the task"

The appointment was made in August without a pitch, and the agency won the account on the basis of BBDO Guerrero's credentials and its retail expertise through Proximity Shop.

Established in 1996, Yatai International is the exclusive importer and distributor of the Omni electrical and lighting products in The Philippines. The brand will be launching its LED series to satisfy the consumer’s needs for energy efficient lighting solutions.

The campaign for the LED series is set to be launched on tomorrow. The biggest challenge of the brief is how to own the LED market amid the bigger players in the category.

“We are up to the task of seeing this brand achieve its vision of being a Filipino brand trusted worldwide for its safe, innovative and eco-friendly products,” Tony Harris (pictured), chief executive of BBDO Guerrero, said.

Prior to the appointment, Yatai International developed its promotional materials via in-house design team.
