Sources said the move is believed to have caused the CRM team at McCann Erickson to disband.

SGM handed the creative business for Cadillac to McCann Erickson's Shanghai office in 2008. SGM Works is the McCann agency set up to handle integrated communication for SGM, led by managing director Tomaz Mok.

Ame Tang, general manager of McCann Erickson Shanghai, said, "There have been no change in the agency's scope of work or team structure."

The only difference as sources indicate is the cancelation of the CRM relationship with SGM.

General Motors is currently working with McCann's Data & Analytics unit MRM on a digital dashboard project for the US market.
