Lightfoot will remain in Shanghai and will report to Jean Lin, CEO of Isobar Asia Pacific.

Lightfoot (pictured) has built an integral client relationship with adidas, a shared client of Carat and Isobar, and will continue to focus on that brand regionally, as well as provide support on NowLab innovations in China.

Nowlab was set up by Isobar Global to bring innovative technology to brands. It is described as a loose collective that threads together the best minds within the Isobar network to take on client challenges and use the input of R&D partners such as MIT’s Media Lab to create market-driven innovation.

Lightfoot has more than 15 years of experience in media in the UK, US and China, where he focused on strategic planning and client leadership. As client service director at Carat China, Rohan led adidas’ award-winning 2008 Olympic campaign and has managed several award-winning campaigns since.

“Rohan’s background in traditional brand building and media fuses well with his passion for integrating digital into overall communications," Lin said. "Adidas is one of the most digitally-savvy brands in China, consistently investing in digital innovation and building engagement.”

Lin aded that Aegis Media encourages the transfer of talent across different agency brands. "This is how we deal with the new world of convergence," she said. "We embrace digital-minded talents from all disciplines.”

Recently, Adil Zaim was appointed as China CEO of Carat, following the announcement that Seth Grossman has been appointed as chief executive officer of Vizeum Asia-Pacific. And with the increasing client demand for mobile and social-media marketing, wwwins Isobar Taiwan has hired Polo Wu for a newly created role as mobile practice leader.
