Roche (pictured) was formerly digital lead at OgilvyOne, also in Japan, having joined the agency in 2009.

Roche has been based in Japan for more than 10 years, and has also worked in the US and Argentina. Prior to working at Ogilvy, he served as marketing manager at Hudson.

While unable to comment directly on the focus of his new role at this stage, Roche said he would continue to strive for innovation while extending his role "as an authority on the Japan-based global agency stage".
