DDB currently works with other Lion Nathan brands including Corona, Stella Artois and Budweiser. The Omnicom agency has been working with Lion Nathan since 2006.

Commenting on the win, DDB New Zealand managing director Justin Mowday said, "Lots of agencies are still talking 'integration' and 'digital', but we're really interested in creating moments with consumers utilising whatever channel is appropriate to deliver a quality brand engagement."

ECD Toby Talbot adds Lion Red is one of the classic Kiwi brands. "We look forward to making it the centre of all maledom again," he said.

Reported earlier this month, DDB New Zealand announced their decision to merge data driven creative agency Rapp with digital marketing agency Tribal DDB.
